Error: 500 internal error on Keyavi Web

Error 500 on the Keyavi Web App can be caused by multiple environmental factors. If the 500 Internal Error is Keyavi Web branded, this error can be caused by a communication problem with the Keyavi Web API. You can gather more information by checking if there is an error message in the Windows Event Log.

Check Keyavi Web API

The Keyavi Web API will give a 404 error if you try to go to the API website directly. To test the connectivity, see Test Connectivity. You can find your Keyavi Web API in the Keyavi Web webconfig in the add key EncryptionURL section. Restart API by navigating to the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager and right-clicking on Default Web and selecting Restart.

Check Windows Server Application logs

You can also check the Windows Server Application logs  if the API is up by opening the Windows Search bar, searching for Event Viewer, and selecting Application Logs. There will not be an error message in the Application Logs if there was no error message. If there is an error in the application log, it will display an event code 3005.
