What are the different administrator roles?

Keyavi Portal

There are three different administrator roles that define management within the Keyavi Portal.

User Administrator - Manage user access and users' data.

Security Administrator - Monitor security alerts, revoke access (user, file and device) restrict offline access, and view file chain of custody (forensics).

Policy Administrator – Manage cross-company policies, such geolocation policies, offline access, and Intelligent Directory.

Note

These roles are cumulative, meaning that one individual can stack these roles for additional functionality. We recommend groups be assigned based on the principle of least privilege, meaning that a user should only be given the minimum levels of permission to do their job.

For an administrator to be able to use the Keyavi technology (to protect or open files, in addition to managing it), they will need to be added to an End User group as well.
