Why can't I print my file?

Keyavi's IKD files are protected as either Full Access, Edit, or Read-only. For more information on what these access rights allow, see Keyavi Online Help: User authorization mode.

Keyavi does not allow files protected as Read-only to be printed as this could introduce a risk. If a user needs to print a file for a legitimate business purpose, the data owner can update the user's authorization mode (or usage rights) on the file to Full Access or Edit (if available) in the Keyavi Portal (Data Management Console). For more information on changing these usage rights, see Keyavi Online Help: Change access rights to a file.

Note for admins: A user needs to be part of the Full Access User Group in Azure Active Directory to have these options. A user in the Read-only User Group will only ever be able to open an IKD file in Read-only mode, where the ability to print has been disabled. For more information on User Groups, see Keyavi Online Help: Admin Guide Overview.

In summary, to ensure a user can print:

  • Verify the user is part of the Full Access User Group in Azure Active Directory. 
  • Verify the user has Full Access or Edit (if available) rights to the file.
